Architectural Features
Gargoyle: We can manufacture our gargoyle sculptures to drawings or take a mould off an existing gargoyle and then repair any damage to it caused by weathering etc.
Balustrades: A balustrade is a row of repeating balusters - small posts which support the upper rail of a railing. Staircases and porches often have balustrades. A baluster is a moulded shaft, supporting the coping of a parapet or the handrail of a staircase, an assemblage of them being known as a "balustrade".
We replaced heavy cast iron balustrading on Stourbridge Town Hall as the weight was causing stress to the building and compacting the brickwork below.
Lead effect guttering: Heavy lead guttering can be replaced with GRP, to prevent stress on masonry work. The colour and texture can be matched to existing guttering.
Church spire: We have provided a lightweight alternative to a heavy church spire.
Stone effect window surround: GRP stone surrounds are easy to fit and less prone to damage like re-con stone, as they can be fitted at the end of a build, in some cases by window fitters. They can also be retro-fitted to old buildings.
Bullseye: Can be fitted in one lightweight piece to ease time and weight burden.
String course: A string course is a continuous narrow horizontal course or moulding which projects slightly from the surface of a wall.
